One of my earlier forays into crypto in early 2013 was into a cloud mining project, which in hindsight was almost definitely some sort of Ponzi, called Eobot. While the service itself was pretty stock standard for many of the cloud mining ponzis of the time, what made it truly unique was it's chat room and community.
Eobot's chatroom, hosted by Chatango at the time, was one of the most vibrant and unmoderated communities I've had the pleasure a being apart of. It wasn't close to as degenerate as the late-poloniex trollbox but it was just as formative for me.
